Hi
Hi to all, this is an attempt to spread a word about our family 'Mappilassery' which has its roots in a small beautiful village called 'Champakulam' in 'Alappuzha' district, Kerala, India. Here i would like to invite other family members to join this blogspot to help me out in my research on our family and its history. Looking forward for your response.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteDo you bychance have list of warriors or ministers?, who stayed that night at your ancestoral home, when bringing back the statue of Shri Krishnaswamy under the order of King Devanarayana of chempakaserry. Its just for my family historical refernce, when I approached to the Kerala historical & research department. They informed me, I can find it in some of Mappilaserry thaliyola, as they might have kept the list of the wariors who stayed that night. It will be indeed helpfull if you can shed any light on it. You can reply me at vinu004@gmail.com
Thanks

Hi, thanks for enquiring. I remember seeing those "Thaliyola"s as a small child. It's kept safe by elders in the family. You may have to visit them personally.
DeleteHi, I wonder if we are related. My Dad is Mappilacherry. (We spell it differently) from Champakualam. My late grandfather is P. M. Thomas. He married Aleyamma and had 9 kids. Most are here in America.
ReplyDeleteHi, yes we are from the same family. I have visited this house long back. Remember Aleyamma Ammachi. The branch name is Puthenveedu, Maliakal.
